Australia signs new trade agreement with Korea

Australia’s Clean Energy Council (CEC) has signed a clean technology agreement with the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) – a first between the two countries.

“This agreement strengthens Australia’s ties with Korea and will drive investment and development in clean tech between both nations,” said Matthew Warren, ceo of the Clean Energy Council.

“It will also help to drive regional investment and clean tech development in Asia through education and training…and the sharing of information and networks,” he added.

In recent weeks the CEC has also struck a deal with the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), as it continues to build strategic opportunities for Australia’s renewable energy industry in the lead up to COP15 in Copenhagen.
