Suntech solar PV panels to India

04 August 2010

Suntech Power Holdings Co Ltd will deliver its 280 W polycrystalline solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to Indian solar power producer Azure Power.

The solar power plants will be owned, developed, and financed by Azure Power. The first project is already under construction and additional solar power plants will be developed in early 2011.

"With remarkable solar resources and robust economic growth, India has enormous potential for the development of a strong solar industry," says James Hu, Suntech's President for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
