Toyota solar boat

Kyocera Corporation is supplying solar modules for Toyota Solar Panels, which are to be installed on recreational boats from Toyota Motor Corporation.

The solar panels can be used to provide a supplemental power source for electronics and appliances installed on recreational boats.

The solar modules have the following specifications:

  • Output Maximum: approx. 60 W (solar module)
  • Conversion efficiency: Maximum approx. 17.5% (solar cell)
  • Production bases: Cells: Yohkaichi Plant (Shiga, Japan), Modules: Ise Plant (Mie, Japan)
  • Application: Battery charging for boat’s equipment
