Temperature differences can be used to create electricity, or so-called thermoelectricity, according to scientists at the Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology at the University of Oslo (UiO) and the Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research (SINTEF) in Norway.

The EcoIsland initiative is the largest single sustainability project in the UK.
