Fourth Annual GEA Summit

The National Geothermal Summit will bring together policy leaders, utilities and industry professionals to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the geothermal industry. Topics to be covered include adopting new US codes and standards for geothermal energy; federal leasing and permitting: performance and improvement; and state PUC and utility officials presenting on their outlook for geothermal procurement, among others.
Summer School: Renewable Energy Technologies

A structured overview of the range of commercially available renewable energy technologies, including photovoltaics, solar thermal, concentrated solar power, wind energy, bio-energy, and hydropower. Possible applications and configurations, technical aspects and economic viability will be examined. Also includes excursions to different renewable energy plants.
Summer School: Grid-connected and Off-grid Photovoltaics

The course deals with grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems, covering planning, installation, maintenance, quality management, and monitoring. Important non-technical aspects such as legal issues, economic viability, feed-in-tariffs/net-metering, and project management issues will also be discussed, and there will be site visits.
